Privacy Policy
Effective Date: May 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how GunStock LLC (“GunStock,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit gunstock.io, storeowners.gunstock.io, any subdomain operated by us in the form storename.gunstock.io, or any related website operated by GunStock (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Who We Are
GunStock LLC is a New Jersey limited liability company that builds and hosts inventory-display websites for independent firearms retailers in New Jersey. We are not a licensed firearms dealer. We do not sell, ship, or transfer firearms. All firearm transactions take place in person at the licensed retail location of the store you are visiting, subject to all applicable federal and New Jersey law.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- ›Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash), and optionally your phone number.
- ›Store owner information: If you are a retail client, we collect business contact information, store address, FFL number (where you choose to provide it), and the names and emails of authorized users on your account.
- ›Inventory submissions: Store clients submit firearm and accessory photos, descriptions, pricing, and related product data for display on their site.
- ›Wishlists and favorites: If you save items to a wishlist or favorite a store, we record those selections to your account.
- ›Reservation and inquiry data: If you submit an in-store hold, reservation, or inquiry through a GunStock-hosted site, we collect the item, the store, and any contact details you provide so the store can respond.
- ›Payment information: If you pay GunStock for our services, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. We retain limited payment metadata such as the last four digits, brand, billing zip, and Stripe customer and payment intent identifiers.
- ›Communications: If you contact us at jack@gunstock.io or through a form, we retain that correspondence.
2.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- ›Usage data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, search queries within the Services, and timestamps.
- ›Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and local storage to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and measure performance. You can disable cookies in your browser, though parts of the Services may not function correctly without them.
- ›Hosting and security logs: Our hosting providers (Vercel and Supabase) maintain access and security logs for the operation of the Services.
2.3 Information We Do Not Collect
GunStock does not collect, store, or transmit New Jersey Firearms Purchaser Identification cards, Permits to Purchase a Handgun, the results of NICS background checks, or any firearms purchase documentation. All such verification occurs in person at the licensed retail store, and the records are kept by that store and the relevant government agencies.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- ›Provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
- ›Create and manage your account, including authenticating logins.
- ›Display store inventory to the public on the relevant store site.
- ›Process payments for our subscription services.
- ›Respond to inquiries you submit to a store, and forward them to that store.
- ›Communicate with you about your account, billing, security, and service updates.
- ›Monitor and improve the Services, debug issues, and detect or prevent fraud or abuse.
- ›Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
4. AI Processing of Inventory Photos
When a store client submits photographs of firearms for inventory, the images are processed by an artificial intelligence service operated by Anthropic, PBC (the “Anthropic Claude API”), to identify item attributes such as make, model, caliber, and condition. This processing occurs to populate inventory listings on the store’s site.
Anthropic’s API processing is subject to Anthropic’s terms and privacy practices. We do not use submitted photos to train any third-party AI model. Photos submitted by store clients are retained by GunStock for display, troubleshooting, and audit purposes for the duration of the client’s account, and are deleted within 90 days after account termination unless we are required to retain them by law.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below.
- ›Service providers: We share information with vendors who help us operate the Services, including hosting (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase), payment processing (Stripe), AI inventory processing (Anthropic), email delivery, and analytics. These vendors are contractually limited to using the information to provide their services to us.
- ›Store clients: If you submit a reservation, hold, inquiry, or other contact to a store-branded site, the relevant store receives that information so it can respond to you.
- ›Legal and safety: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of GunStock, our users, our clients, or the public.
- ›Business transfers: If GunStock is acquired, merged, or sells all or part of its assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- ›With your consent: We will share information for other purposes only with your consent.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, as needed to provide the Services, or as required by law. After account closure, we retain transaction records for tax and accounting purposes, security logs for fraud and abuse investigation, and a limited subset of account data sufficient to honor opt-outs and resolve disputes. Inventory data submitted by a store client is exported to that client within seven business days of cancellation and is deleted from our active systems within 90 days thereafter, subject to backup retention cycles of up to 30 additional days.
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), role-based access controls, row-level security on our database, audit logging of administrative actions, and access restricted to personnel who need it. No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to receive a portable copy of your information. To exercise these rights, email us at jack@gunstock.io from the address associated with your account. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request.
You may also:
- ›Update your account information from your account settings.
- ›Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any marketing message. We may still send transactional messages relating to your account.
- ›Disable cookies in your browser. Some features may not function without cookies.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact jack@gunstock.io and we will delete it.
10. Third-Party Links
The Services may link to third-party websites we do not operate, including manufacturer pages, payment processors, or map services. This Policy does not apply to those third parties. Review their privacy policies before providing any information.
11. New Jersey Residents

Those categories are described in Sections 2, 3, and 5. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
12. International Users
The Services are operated in the United States and intended for use by residents of the United States, primarily New Jersey. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice (such as an email to account holders or a notice on the Services).
